Godwin Emefiele
Mr Godwin Emefiele (Chairman) became Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc following the retirement of the founder and pioneer Managing Director on July 31, 2010. He holds a Bachelors degree (1984) and a Masters degree in Finance (1986) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. |
He is an alumnus of Executive Education at Stanford University, Harvard Business School (2004) and Wharton Graduate Schools of Business (2005), all in U.S.A. He has over twenty-one years banking experience and commenced his banking career with Nigerian-American Merchant Bank Limited (an affiliate of First Bank of Boston). Prior to that, he had lectured Finance and Insurance at the University of Nigeria and University of Port Harcourt respectively. His previous positions in the Bank include Executive Director in charge of Corporate Banking, Treasury and Financial Services, as well as Strategic Planning.

Emmanuel Udom
Mr Udom Emmanuel is an Executive Director in Zenith Bank, He holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos (1988). He is a Chartered Accountant and he trained with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he rose to the position of an Audit Manager. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

He joined Zenith Bank in 1996 from Diamond Bank Limited and was the pioneer Manager of the Bank’s Lagos Central Branch. He is presently in charge of the Telecommunications Sector, Income Optimization and Financial & Strategic Planning Group. He has over twenty years financial services experience and has attended the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, France

Andy Ojei
Mr Andy Ojei is an Executive Director in Zenith Bank and the pioneer Managing Director of Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director, Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited, Andy was a General Manager and Chief Inspector of the Bank. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelors degree in Accountancy from the University of Lagos (1982).

He joined Zenith Bank in 1992, having worked as an Audit Manager in Ibraheem Jimoh & Co. (Chartered Accountants). He has headed a number of branches and departments including Financial Control and Strategic Planning and Corporate Banking. He has over sixteen years banking experience and has attended the Advanced Management Programme at Oxford University, United Kingdom.

Peter Amangbo
Mr Peter Amangbo is an Executive Director in Zenith Bank. He holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Benin (1988) and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (“MBA”) (1995). He trained with PricewaterhouseCoopers and qualified as a Chartered Accountant before joining Zenith Bank. |
He was the head of Financial Control and Strategic Planning before moving to head Zenith Bank’s Ikoyi branch. He was at different times Head of Corporate and Retail Banking Group and also Group Zonal Head in Lagos. He has over seventeen years banking industry experience and has attended several offshore courses including the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, France

Apollos Ikpobe
He is an Executive Director in the Bank. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from the Yaba College of Technology and graduated with a Distinction in 1987. He also has a Masters in Banking and Finance from the University of Lagos.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He joined the service of the Bank in February 1992.
He has over 17 years of Postgraduate experience out of which he spent 5 years in reputable Audit firms and about 12 years in the banking industry.

Elias Igbin- Akenzua
He is an Executive Director in charge of Oil/Gas Multinationals, middle market and commercial banking departments of the bank. He graduated with a B.Sc. Accounting in 1988 from the University of Benin and holds an MBA.
He had earlier worked in the Bank’s Treasury/ Financial Institutions and Corporate Banking Departments. |

A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), he worked with the Audit/Financial service arm of PricewaterHouseCoopers for 4 years before moving over to Zenith Bank Plc in January 1993.
He has over 16 years Postgraduate experience out of which he spent 12 years in the banking industry. He is an Alumnus of Exective Education at Insead, Fountanbleu, France and Wharton Graduate School of Business, USA.

Ebenezer Onyeagwu
Mr Ebenezer Onyeagwu is a General Manager in Zenith Bank and Group Zonal Head in charge of Ikeja Business Zone. He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and Wharton Executive Education Programme of the University of Pennsylvania U.S.A. He has a Higher National Diploma certificate in Accounting (1987) and a Masters degree in Business Administration (2000).

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. Ebenezer commenced his banking career in January 1991 and has extensive experience in branch management.

Mrs Nonye Ayeni
Mrs Nonye Ayeni is currently a General Manager in Zenith Bank, in charge of treasury. She holds a Bachelors degree in Microbiology from University of Ife (1986) and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos. She joined Zenith Bank in 1990, as a pioneer staff, from Nigeria International Bank Limited.

She worked in the Treasury and Marketing Department before moving to branch management. She was previously in charge of the Bank’s Head Office operations and Idumota and Allen Avenue branches. She has over eighteen years banking experience and has attended a number of courses including the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, France.
Binji has attended many courses in insurance, risk management and marketing both locally and oversees including 1year full-time residential middle level managers in insurance course at WAII.
