What is Policy Excess?
It is the contributory amount you pay, when making a claim. It is a proportion of the claim, which the insured would bear. Any amount above this is borne by the insurer.

What if I am making a claim?
Our telephone claims service has dedicated experts on hand to give you professional advice so your claim can be sorted out without fuss or delay. Just contact our helpline (01-8978635) between 8am-6pm or just send an e-mail to claims@zenithinsurancecoy.com. An incident manager will record details of the incident and immediately commence the claims process.

What happens if I have an accident?
We require that you arrange for your vehicle to be towed to a garage. We will cover your towing cost up to N10, 000.

How soon do I get my claim settled after it has been reported?
48 hours after execution of Discharge Voucher. The Discharge Voucher will be forwarded to you immediately your claim is verified.

How much term life assurance should I buy?
A rule of thumb suggests an amount equal to 6 to 8 times your annual earnings. However, other things to consider include: Income sources other than salary, if married, the earning capacity of your spouse, the number of persons who are financially dependent on you, and your financial/business commitments.

Who takes the proceeds of the policy?
The designated beneficiary or beneficiaries.

How will I pay for this cover?
You can make a single or installment payment by cheque or direct debit

How are claims made?
On the death of the policy holder, Zenith Life Assurance is to be notified and provided with evidence of death. The beneficiary will be paid in full on conclusion of the claims process.

When do I buy?
NOW! The older you get the more it costs.

When are benefits payable?
We guarantee payment of the sum assured upon the death of the policy holder.

How can I make contributions?
Payments can be made by cash, cheque at any Zenith Bank branch nation-wide and through direct debits mandates.

How do I revive a lapsed policy?
You have a period of one year from date of last contribution to revive a lapsed policy. Provided that all overdue contributions with interest thereon and the revival fee are paid with a satisfactory proof of the life assureds continued eligibility produced.

What happens if I do not make a scheduled payment?
There is a 7 days period of grace to make the payment. If outstanding contribution is not made, the policy lapses and the policy value will be limited to the account balance. The Life Benefit Assured ceases to be payable.

Can I have more than one beneficiary?
You can have more than one beneficiary to the benefits of your savings. You may also change them if you desire to.

Can I increase my contribution?
Yes, Investment Yield for the new band of contribution would apply. Your Life Cover Benefit would remain same until the anniversary of the policy upon which the Life Cover for the new contribution band would apply.

What does the Personal Accident Insurance cover?
This policy covers you in the event of death or physical disability (temporary or permanent) resulting from accidents.

To be eligible, you must be between the ages of 16 and 65 years

How long am I covered for?
Benefits are payable if you have an accident after the start date of the cover and before the end date of the cover.

Can this policy cover more than one person?
Yes, this policy can be taken for groups of people such as families, corporate organizations, schools, social clubs, town unions and other affinity groups. In fact, Group Personal Accident policies attract discounts, the larger the group, the lesser the cost.
